HELEN DESORCY

Mrs. Helen Desorcy, 78, passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000 at Rainycrest Home for the Aged, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Helen was born to John and Lena Komarnicki in Dauphin, Man. in 1922. As a child, she moved to Rainy River, Ont., where she met her husband, Demose Desorcy.
Left to cherish her memories are her beloved husband, Mousie of 55 years; her children, David, Linda (Malcolm) Patrick, Gerald, Kenneth, and Janell (Peltonen); nine grandchildren; and sister, Rose Sedwick.
She has been predeceased by her mother, father, and brother, Jim.
Helen was a kind and loving person who loved many activities, including fishing, gardening, berry picking, hockey, baseball, music, and Bingo, and was renowned for her fabulous cooking abilities.
Her family would like to express their sincere thanks and deepest appreciation to the staff of Rainycrest for their impeccable care and compassion.
A memorial service was held Monday, Jan. 17, 2000 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances, with Father Eugene Whyte officiating.
