Silently she entered the world, and with family by her side silently she left on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006.
We will miss her dearly knowing in our hearts and minds this is how the circle of life makes another revolution, and the world keeps turning, after losing our mom.
Remembering their mother are sons, Philip (Marlene), Donald (Marlene), Clifford, Henry T. (Linda), and Jim (Dawn); daughters, Dorothy (Dave) Marquis and Rachel (Don) Marquis; grandchildren, Guy, Marc, Jill, Marielle, Colleen, Karen, Donald, Margaret, Edward, Paul, Christopher, Kevin, Kathleen, James, Jason, Georgia, Peter, Carolee, Marty, Natalie, Louis, and Jennifer; many great-grandchildren; sister, Dora-Mae Strutt; and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Henry; parents, Olaf and Margaret Lindberg; son, Delmar; grandson, Timothy; brothers, Melvin (Florence), Lloyd, and Lewellyn; and brother-in-law, Joe Strutt.
Helen was born March 24, 1919 in Rainy River, Ont. to Olaf and Margaret Lindberg. She was united in marriage to Henry Jarvis on March 31, 1937.
Helen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her family was her life and her passion.
There was never a dull moment for Helen when it came to family. If it wasn’t one of her own kids’ hand she was holding, it was one of her grandkids’.
Holidays were special to her when the family gathered; she was right in her element cooking up an extravagant dinner for all. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, and loved to dance.
Mom will be most remembered for her never-ending love and care for her family.
Even though Helen’s life was full and devoted to her family, she also was a charter member of the Catholic Women’s League of Our Lady of Good Counsel parish and long-time member of the Forest Women’s Institute.
She served numerous years as leader of the Forest South 4-H Homemaking Club, as well as a member of the audit committee of the Rainy River Community Credit Union.
Prayers were held Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Rainy River.
Funeral service was held Monday, Dec. 11, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Rainy River, officiated by Fr. Dan Debano and with music by Gerry and Jackie Guimond.

We can’t repay the lessons that you taught when we we’re small,
Or give you, gift for gift, the daily treasures we recall . . .
We can’t return encouragement and loving words of praise in quite the way you did for us, through all our childhood days,
But there is one gift that we can give . . .
It’s all the love you’ve earned.
For love is what you always taught . . .
and love is what we’ve learned.
Love you and miss you always,
Us kids
