HAZEL EDITH McDANIEL

Hazel Edith McDaniel (nee South) passed away at Wellington Terrace in Fergus, Ont. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008 at the age of 94.
She was the beloved wife of the late Karl McDaniel (1999); and loved mother of Joan (Urbane) Richards of Guelph, Ont., Joyce (Murray) Johnson of Brampton, Ont., Bernice (Fred) Disher of Fonthill, Ont., Helen (Wilbur) Mose of Emo, Ont., Clark (Donna) McDaniel of Elora, Ont., and Myrna (Ross) Dunn and Nola (Ron) Deamer, all of North Bay, Ont.
She also is lovingly remembered by her 34 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.
Hazel was predeceased by her son, Larry McDaniel; granddaughter, Charlene; great-grandson, Curtis; son-in-law, Ed Mose; sisters, Margaret Hughes and Nellie South; and brothers, Louis, Ted, Joe, and Bill South.
Hazel will be remembered as a loving wife and mother who, as a homemaker, cared in a loving manner for 32 foster children.
Friends may call at the Gilchrist Chapel in Guelph on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the A.M. Paul Funeral Home in Powassan, Ont. on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. that day.
There will be a spring interment in the Powassan Union Cemetery.
In memoriam contributions to the Children’s Aid Society of the Districts of Nipissing-Parry Sound would be appreciated.
