It is with deep sadness that the family of Harold Percy Cunningham, age 96 years, announce his passing on Monday, January 2, 2023. He died peacefully at his home in Hogarth Riverview Manor surrounded by his special great-granddaughter, Kimmy, who was always by his side, right up until the end, as well as daughter Glenna and granddaughters Jennifer and Becky.

Harold was born on July 21, 1926, in Fort Frances, Ontario. He enlisted in the armed forces and was ready to fight for his country during WWII. Upon his release from duty, Harold worked primarily in the construction field in several roles, most notable as a truck driver and crane operator. Harold met Joyce Rumelhart and they were married for over 71 years before her passing in 2016.

Harold loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking as well as tinkering in the yard and around the house, or doing any other chore Joyce told him to do. He spent the last few years of his life having coffee and going for adventures with his great-granddaughter Kimmy. Harold was a hardworking, loving and kind husband, father and grandfather, and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Harold is survived by his children Glenna (Orvil), Kenny, Allen (Pam), Larry (Bev) and Laurene; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joyce; his sons Bruce and Wayne Cunningham; as well as his grandsons Darren Dolph and Shane Cunningham.
