HANS FRITZEMEIER

Hans Fritzemeier, 86, of Emo, Ont., passed away Thursday, June 23, 2005 at the Emo Health Centre in Emo.
He was born Sept. 24, 1918 in Sonderborg, Denmark to the late Heinrich and Sophie (Hansen) Fritzemeier.
Hans came to Canada in November, 1951. He had worked for INCO in Copper Cliff, Ont. from 1953 until his retirement in 1979.
He liked spending time with his granddaughter, Deirdre, and he enjoyed gardening and puttering around.
Hans is survived by his daughter, Gerd O’Sullivan; sister, Thea of Denmark; grandchildren, Deirdre, James, Timothy, and Anne; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Sarah, Tara, Maia, Johannes, Beatrice, and Francesca; and nieces and nephew.
He was united in marriage to Ingeborg Hansen on Oct. 28, 1939, who predeceased him. He also was predeceased by his parents and three sisters.
A celebration of Han’s life was held Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at 10 a.m. at the Long-Term Care Facilities in the Emo Health Centre, with Rev. Frances Flook officiating.
