Gwen Bell, 87, of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away peacefully at La Verendrye Hospital on Tuesday, March 9, 1999.
She was born Gwen Langstaff on Sept. 20, 1911 at Emo, Ont.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy and husband, Bob Burgstahler, of London, Ont.; daughter-in-law, Muriel Bell; grandson, Robert and wife, Wendy; and granddaughters, Debbie and husband, Neil Thorpe, Linda and husband, Al Kaczorek, Penny and husband, John Pierce, and Pat and husband, Kim Roy, all of Fort Frances.
Also included in the family are nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred, and son, Charlie; sisters, Thelma Browman, Lillian Thomas, and Marge Sutcliffe; and brothers, Charlie Langstaff, Ed Langstaff, and Lloyd when he was a youngster.
Cremation took place in Thunder Bay, Ont. At the request of the deceased, there was no service.
