In loving memory of Gordon Owen McLeod, who passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born April 29, 1933.
Gordon was a successful business owner and a long-time member of the millwright union. His millwright profession gave him the opportunity to live in many Northern Ontario communities.
He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Loyal Order of the Moose, and participated in many activities and clubs within both organizations.
Lately, he especially enjoyed karaoke.
Gordon was an outdoorsman, was mechanically-minded, and very inventive.
He is survived and deeply missed by Pauline, his loving wife of 24 years; his daughter, Cindy (Sam) and husband, Peter Whittington; son, Patrick and wife, Denise, and grandsons, Brian and Matt; stepson, Dean and wife, Sue German; step-grandchildren, Paul, Heather, and Zach German; and great-grandchild, Clayton German.
Also surviving are his sister, Marian Krzywda; and numerous other family members and friends.
A memorial funeral service was held Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Moffat Chapel of the Stevens Funeral Home in Dryden, with Rev. Eric Matheson officiating.
Interment of ashes will take place at a later date.
