It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gordon Martin announces his passing.
Gordon, born May 20, 1959, passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Man. at the age of 56.
Gordon, also known as “Gordie” to many, will be remembered for his free spirit, living life in the moment, and accepting all challenges—never giving up!
Gord leaves behind his dad, Ken (Madeline); and siblings, Susan, James (Diane), David (Loretta), Judy (Roy) Williamson, and Murray (Klaia) Hutchins and families, including several nieces and nephews who cherished their “Uncle Gordie.”
Gordon will be rejoined with his mother, Julie; brother, Lenard; stepbrother, Jim Hutchins; and many loved one.
As per Gordon’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A celebration of his life will take place Friday, March 4, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Knox United Church in Fort Frances, Ont.
In memoriam donations may be made to the Fort Frances Community Chest or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
