GORDON (‘BUD’) HANNAM

It is with great sadness that the family of Gordon Terrence (“Bud”) Hannam announces his peaceful passing on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at his home in Rainy River, Ont. at the age of 87.
Bud was born Jan. 22, 1925 in Rainy River, where he lived his entire life. This also is where he met the love of his life, Laurene “Buddie” Hannam, whom he married on Nov. 3, 1951.
Dad lived a full and happy life, raising his two sons, Kim and Chris, with “Buddie,” and keeping busy volunteering within the community, being a Cub and Scout leader, golfing, and spending time at the lake.
Dad had a long, satisfying career working for the railroad for 18 years and then Canada Customs, where he proudly served for 25 years.
Bud leaves to mourn his loved ones, “Buddie,” his wife of 61 years; his children, Kim (Maxine) of Winnipeg, Man. and Chris (Melissa) of Calgary, Alta.; and grandchildren, Matthew, Elliott, Jordan, and Mikaela.
Dad was predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Mona Hannam; and sister, Joyce Keenan.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Knox United Church in Rainy River, with Rev. Barbara Miller officiating.
Interment will take place at a later date.
