Glenna Mary Rowland, 88 years, of Rainycrest Long-Term Care, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, Nov. 29. 2010.
She was born Sept. 23, 1922 in Fort Frances, Ont. to the late Edward and Verna Jerry.
On Jan. 20, 1956, Glenna was united in marriage to Herbert Douglas Rowland.
Herbert and Glenna lived in Crozier, Ont. for many years. Glenna waitressed for many years at the New Lunch Café.
One of her favourite passions in life was shopping. She was well-known to all the local retailers.
We will miss her wit and humor.
Glenna is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Rowland, on Jan. 2, 1984.
In accordance with Glenna’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
At Glenna’s request, cremation has taken place at Rainy River Cremation Services in International Falls, Mn.
Interment will take place in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances at a later date.
