GLEN FRASER

The family of Glen Albert Donald Fraser, 70, of Sapawe, Ont., sadly announced his passing on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Atikokan General Hospital in Atikokan, Ont.
Glen was born Jan. 27, 1941 in Chapple Township, Ont. His family moved to Sapawe when he was five years old, where he resided ever since.
Glen married Linda Lee on Oct. 18, 1958 and they were happily married for 52 years.
Worked at Buchanan until retiring, Glen enjoyed pursing his hobbies, which included gardening, fishing and hunting, and spending time with his family.
Glen is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Donna (Victor) Lind of Atikokan, Ont., Ross (Julie) Fraser of Sylvan Lake, Alta., Debbie (Paul) Murphy of Thunder Bay, Ont., and Candice (Richard) Goretzki of Sioux Lookout, Ont.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He also is survived by his sisters, Jean (Jerry) Walsh, June (Dennis) Simoneau, Janet Fraser (Steve), and Peggy (Harry) Bruyere; brother-in-law, Herman (Patsy) Lee; sister-in-law, Grace Silver; brother-in-law, Gary (Marg) Lee; and sister-in-law, Karen (Karl) Lund.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ross and Violet Fraser; mother-in-law and father-in-law, George and Francis Lee; and brothers, Robert Fraser and William Fraser.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 18, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Atikokan.
The honorary pallbearers will be Jack Russow, Ed Thurier, Bob Thorson Sr., Moe Tribe, Lester Shine, Alfred Veran, Gary Genik, George Solomon, Scott Stevenson, and Shawn Veran.
