GLADYS MARIE JOHNSON

Gladys Johnson, 49, of Thunder Bay, Ont., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013 in Thunder Bay.
She was born May 31, 1964 in Fort Frances, Ont. to Mabel and Edward Smith.
As a young woman, she worked for the Naicatchewenin First Nation band before moving to Thunder Bay.
She appreciated the time she spent with her family, as well as playing sports. She also enjoyed her time in Thunder Bay, especially her years with Richard.
She was strong-willed and had a great sense of humour.
Gladys leaves behind her children, Vivian (Dylan) Simard, Carrie Johnson, Jeremy Johnson (Toni Collins), and Lauralee Johnson; and grandchildren, Kailey, Logan, and Mason Simard, Keyshawn, Shylar, and Colton Fairbanks, Angel Medicine, Jorja and Aleena Johnson, and Kaiya Boorman.
Also surviving are her sisters, Janice Smith, Gloria L. Johnson, and Elsie Wesley; brother, Steve Johnson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Gladys was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Angie Chosa and Rose Smith; and brother, Elvis Smith.
Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Fr. Victor De Gagne officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
