October 16, 1937 – December 4, 2022
Germaine “Gerry” was a caring widower, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She was born to Francois and Agathe, nee Angers, Hacault at St. Boniface Hospital. She grew up on the family farm with numerous brothers and sisters. As her older siblings grew up and moved out, and having lost her mother at the tender age of 13, she took pride in taking her turn to stay on the farm to assist in caring for her younger siblings. When she moved out, she followed her dreams in nursing, music and family in Kenora, Thunder Bay and Winnipeg areas. She graduated and started her profession in 1960 as a Licensed Practical Nurse and retired in about 1991. She was a very skilled piano and accordion player, which she shared at many lounges, family gatherings, senior’s homes, fairs and other venues. It brought her much happiness to watch people dance, hum or just tap toes in appreciation. She made many memories and friendships along her journey.

She will be grieved by many brothers and sisters as they are a close family. Her memories will live on though our fondness of her love of music, hockey, playing cards and baseball trivia and big smiles she had at any family gatherings.
May you feel no more pain as you leave your earthly vessel behind. May you take with you the memories of love and laughter while you sing, dance and visit waiting love ones.
May God wrap his arms and love around you until we meet again.
Love: daughter Rhonda Stevens-Bekeski (Shane), granddaughter Ashley Stevens (Terrance Huntley); step-granddaughters Monique Isensee (Garrick) and Jessica Bekeski (Cohnen); great-grandchildren Ivan Huntley-Stevens and Emilia Huntley-Stevens; step grandchildren Owen Isensee, Priya Isensee, Camille Isensee and Lux Isensee
She will be laid to rest in the spring/summer of 2023 in Bruxelles, Manitoba, next to her Maman as requested.
