Gerald Brennard, special brother of Donna Derhak (Waterloo, Ont.), passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at Rainycrest Long-Term Care in Fort Frances, Ont.
Gerald was born March 22, 1949 in Fort Frances.
He will be sadly missed by his sister, Donna.
Gerald was predeceased by his sister, Elsie Drobot of Atikokan, Ont.; brother, Albert Brennard of International Falls, Mn.; father, Fred Brennard (Baidenko); and mother, Mary Brennard (Baidenko).
Gerald spent his early years in Smiths Falls and Thunder Bay, Ont., but always came home for the summer and finally came back to live with his mother when he was in his 20s.
He loved riding his bike downtown through the subway without rules, challenging the automobiles around him. He also loved going to work and seeing his friends at Good Impressions, where he was a dedicated worker.
Gerald has lived at Rainycrest for the past four years.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances.
Fr. Wayne McIntosh will officiate, with interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
Friends may visit at Green Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until service time.
Following the committal service at the cemetery, a luncheon will follow at Green Funeral Home.
