It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their brother and uncle, George Edward Gush (Gushulak), on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008 in Banning, Calif. at the age of 72.
He was the son of the late Mike and Alicey Gushulak of Fort Frances, Ont.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Dee Dee; nine children; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are four brothers, Bill, Orest (Karen), Dennis (Donna), and Gary (Kim); two sisters, Mary Franko and Iris (Ted) Gagosha; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; one sister, Lillian McTeague; one brother, Walter; and one son, Ricky.
George and his wife loved visiting family in Canada and when in Fort Frances, he enjoyed attending St. George’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
George loved to fish, watch sports, and read newspapers, and he enjoyed his Cuban cigars.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008 in Banning, Calif.
