It is with deep sadness that the family of George Daniel Hrynuk announces his passing on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at Rainycrest Long-Term Care in Fort Frances, Ont.
George was born Oct. 27, 1931 in Fort Frances to the late Mike and Mary Hrynuk.
George had worked on the railroad most of his. He retired at the age of 55 after 40 years of service.
He enjoyed visiting with friends and family, and was a very easy-going and nice person.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, James (Jim) Hrynuk of Atikokan, Ont., Lillian Saurer of Fort Frances, Ont., and Doris Feuchuk of Calgary, Alta.
Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Gary Saurer, Jim Hrynuk, Larry (Judy) Champion, Joanne (Doug) Brown, and Susan (Brad) Sampson.
George was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Mary; wife, Blanche; brothers, Basil (Bill) and Steve; sisters, Anne (Sam) Champion and Margaret Sojatte; and brothers-in-law, John Saurer and George Feuchuk.
Interment took place Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
A memorial service to celebrate George’s life will be held at a later date.
