GEORGE ALBERT KEHL

Albert Kehl, 89, of Rainycrest Home for the Aged in Fort Frances, Ont., passed away at his residence Friday, March 3, 2000.
He was born March 10, 1910 in Chapple Municipality, Shenston Township, Ont. to the late Frederick and Katherine Kehl.
During WWII, Albert served overseas with the Royal Canadian Army. Following his discharge from the services, he returned home, where he worked in logging camps during the winters and the sawmill during the summer.
He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #99 in Emo. For enjoyment, Albert loved gardening.
He was predeceased by one infant brother, Arnold Kehl in 1914.
Albert is survived by his sister, Beatrice and husband, Clifford Crawford, of Emo, Ont; niece, Carol Dungey and husband, Vern, of Ignace, Ont.; and nephew, Don Crawford and wife, Marlyne, of Kenora, Ont.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 7, 2000 at 1 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Miriam Bowlby officiated, with interment in Chapple Cemetery in Barwick, Ont.
A military tribute was provided by the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #99 Colour Party of Emo, Ont.
Friends visited prior to funeral services Tuesday.
Honourary pallbearers were Don Crawford, Sean Crawford, Vernon Dungey, Wayne Dungey, and Victor Gagne.
