Genevieve Victoria Gunderso n, 93, of Rainycrest Long-Term Care in Fort Frances, Ont., passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at her residence.
Genevieve was born April 17, 1915 in Fort Frances and lived there all her life.
Genevieve is survived by her daughters, Betty (Larry) Fontana of Fort Frances, Ont. and Glenda (Ken) Addley of Sioux Lookout, Ont.
Also surviving are her grandchildren, Mark (Tina) Fontana and David Fontana, all of Fort Frances, Ont., and Michelle (Luc) Beaulne, Richard (Pam) Addley, and Melissa (Richard) Roy, all of Sioux Lookout, Ont.; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Nicole, and Tyler Fontana, Alexandre, Jadelyn, and Shaelyn Beaulne, Hunter and Paytan Addley, and Dominic and Cassie Roy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Olav, on Feb. 20, 1998; her parents, Victor and Betty Johnson; and several siblings.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 16, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Pastor Brian Keffer officiating.
Interment will take place in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances at a later date.
The pallbearers were Mark Fontana, Richard Addley, Luc Beaulne, Richard Roy, Alexandre Beaulne, and Tyler Fontana.
The honourary pallbearers were David Fontana, Michelle Beaulne, Melissa Roy, Brooke Fontana, Nicole Fontana, Jadelyn Beaulne, Shaelyn Beaulne, Hunter Addley, Paytan Addley, Dominic Roy, and Cassie Roy.
