Gene Norman Brusven passed away unexpectedly, at the age of 74, on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
Gene was born on Oct. 2, 1942 to Norman and Bonnie Brusven (nee Galusha).
He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Lois Mary Brusven (nee Angus), on July 15, 1963.
Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing, and time spent with friends.
Left to mourn his loss are his sons, Doug (Sharon) and Dan (Carol); grandchildren, Melissa (Travis), Jennifer (Kevin), Tyler, Kendra, and Cedar; and great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Kailyn, Peyton, Tyson, Dylan, Teara, and JeyCee.
Also surviving are his sisters, Judy (Peter) Borger, Linda Haney, Gwen (Bob) Dimit, Debbie (Joe) Schlichter, and Brenda (Larry) Hunsperger; brother; Don (Kathy) Brusven; and numereous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Gene was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Bonnie Brusven; wife, Lois; and brother, Jack.
There will be a private family gathering at a later date.
