Gene Andrusco, 38, of Huntington Beach, Calif., passed away Monday, March 20, 2000 at his home. He was born April 6, 1961 in Fort Frances, Ont.
He was a graduate of Garey High School in Pomona, Calif., where he lived for many years with his parents before settling in Huntington Beach in 1990.
He was well-known in the music industry as a music performer, song writer, and record producer with his production company Chenka Music and at his studio, The Green Room, in Huntington Beach.
Mr. Andrusco is survived by his father, Gene L. Andrusco of San Bernardino; his mother, Carole A. Gilliland of Upland; his brother, Todd of Hesperia; and sister, Lisa of Tallahassie, Florida.
His paternal grandmother, Stella Andrusco, and maternal grandmother, Agnes Strain; his uncles, Michael Andrusco and Frank Strain; and aunt, Sharon Jolicoeur, all reside in Fort Frances, and uncle Allan Andrusco is in Winnipeg, Man.
Funeral services were held March 25, 2000 at Echoes of Faith Church in Ontario, and he was interred at the Bellevue Cemetery, Ont., Calif.
