Sadly, the family announces the sudden passing of Gary Wallen, 72, of Burnsville, Mn. on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Burditt (Clearwater) Lake, Ont.
Gary was born on May 17, 1945 in Fort Frances, Ont. He was a graduate of International Falls High School and St. Cloud State University.
Gary was a Vietnam Air Force veteran. During his career, he provided technical support for local Process Control divisions of Emerson, Fisher-Rosemount, and Hinz.
Gary was an avid reader and passionate about hockey. He enjoyed foreign travel and most of all time spent at the family lake cabin.
He delighted in his four grandchildren, was proud of their accomplishments, and the joy and laughter they brought to he and Anne.
Gary will be remembered by many who were touched by him for his belief in doing good and giving back to others in a very special way.
Always kind, gentle, and generous, he will be missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Anne (nee Kinnear); children, Craig (Holly) Perry of Andover, Mn., Chad Perry of Grand Forks, N.D., and Cory Perry of Minneapolis, Mn.; and grandchildren, Chase, Chloe, Charley Anne, and Elysa.
Gary also is survived by his sister, Caroline (Duane) Reichert; and nephews, Dan, Jeff, and Chris and families.
He was predeceased by parents, Ruby and Clarence Wallen.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at White Funeral Home, 12804 Nicolett Ave. S., Burnsville, Mn., 55337.
