Unexpectedly on Monday June 2, 2008, at his residence in Black Hawk, Ont, Gary H. Teeple passed away at the age of 51.
Gary was born in Emo, Ont on November 21, 1956 to the late Ellard and Helen Teeple and was one of eight children raised on their dairy farm in Black Hawk. He attended Black Hawk School and Mather Potts
School, graduating from FFHS in 1974. Gary was united in marriage to Lisa Gasparini, Feb. 3, 1979 and together they purchased a farm in Black Hawk and with their son Jeff they established a successful Simmental herd.
Along with farming, Gary began working for Boise Cascade paper mill in Fort Frances at the age of 17, beginning as a laborer working his way to the paper machines as shift superintendent. He was a natural cattleman, working with his brothers and their families on their farming operations. Many
volunteer hours were spent helping out at 4-H and the Emo Fair cattle shows.
Gary enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the cabin on Nowhere Island, especially with his nieces and nephews.
At work and on the farm Gary was an excellent mentor to so many and always had an open ear. He will be remembered for his positive outlook in life and his stubbornness to never quit till the job was done and done well.
Gary will be sadly missed by his loving wife Lisa of Black Hawk, Ont, son Jeff and fi ancée Kelly Robinson of Devlin, Ont; brothers James (Alwine) and Doug (Vesta) and their families all of Black Hawk, Ont; Allen (Shirley); Robert (Ruth) and their families all of Emo, sisters Irene (Wayne) Johnson and their family of Nestor Falls, Ont; Alice (Raynard) Croswell and their family of Emo, Ont and Maxine ( Joe) Irvine of Stratton, Ont. Also survived by mother-in-law Faye Gasparini, brothers-in-law Steve (Tina) Gasparini of Anchorage, AK, and Chris (Cindy) Gasparini of Kenora, Ont; 23 nieces and nephews; 22 great nieces and nephews and many great friends.
Gary was predeceased by his parents Ellard (1999) and Helen (nee McMillan) (1996), niece Angela Teeple (2000) and father in law Lino Gasparini (2006).
Family and friends will be received at the Northridge Funeral Home Emo, Ont on Thursday June 5, 2008 from 7-9 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday June 6, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Fort Frances, Ont; with Father Roger Bergkamp celebrant. Interment will take place in Barwick Cemetery, Chapple Twp., Ont at a later time.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Johnson Jr, Kevin Croswell, Jason Teeple, Dan Teeple, Jim Teeple, Bill Teeple.
Honourary Pallbearers will be Ken Mason, Ted Zimmerman, Robert LeBlanc, Rodger Irvine, Joe Irvine, and Sam Harnett.
