FREDERICK PATRICK (FRED) GROZELLE

His loving wife, Winnie Grozelle, sadly announces the passing of her husband, Frederick Patrick (Fred) Grozelle, 76, of Fort Frances, Ont., on Saturday morning, May 18, 2013 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances.
Fred was born Monday, June 15, 1936 in Fort Frances, where he had lived all his life.
He was a member of the Employees’ Assistance Program at the local paper mill for years, and a proud member of the EAP local mill. He also was a member of the Mental Health Board for many years and served on the advisory board for the Salvation Army.
He enjoyed the time he spent volunteering with the Mental Health Association and the Salvation Army. He also enjoyed the time he spent working in the yard and the time he spent at the lake with his wife, Winnie.
He loved the fun times spent with family and his coffee friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Winnie; children, Karla (Jeff) of B.C., Micheal of Winnipeg, Man., Dale Miller (Rick) of Thunder Bay, Ont., and John (Mable) of Fort Frances, Ont.; stepson, Christopher Sinclair; and stepdaughter, Amber Sheloff.
Also surviving are his grandchildren, John Jr. and Jennifer Ducharme (Rob); great-grandchildren, Kiersten and Peyten, and Alexis, Kalina, and John III; and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He also is survived by his raised by step-father, Hubert Medhurst; brother, Doug (Lois) Medhurst of Fort Frances, Ont.; sisters, Pat Whalden of B.C. and Claudia (Dan) Butler of Morden, Man.; dear friend, Natalie Marquis; and his many other friends.
Fred was predeceased by his wife, Patricia, on Feb. 28, 2012; parents, Frederick and Mary Grozelle; and grandson, James Grozelle.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fort Frances.
A luncheon will be held following the graveside service at the Fort Frances Evangelical Covenant Church (1027 King’s Highway).
