Frank Oliver St. Pierre, 73, passed away Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at the Rainy River Health Centre in Rainy River, Ont. with family and friends by his side.
He had fought a long battle with cancer.
Frank was born Aug. 19, 1937 to Edmond and Maria St. Pierre in Minahico, Ont. He lived all his life in this area.
He went to school in Minahico, Bergland, and Morson, and worked in Morson all his life. Frank worked at the hardware store for many years. He also trapped on Lake of the Woods.
He enjoyed working in his garage on repairing motors. He also restored a J3 airplane from scratch and built a hovercraft.
Frank was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #54.
Frank married Sharon Osada on Nov. 5, 1966 and they had two children, Beverly and Randy.
He was predeceased by his parents, Edmond and Maria; uncles; aunts; and sister-in-law, Jenny Arnould.
Frank is survived by his children, Beverly and Randy; brothers, Ed and Ernie and their families; and half-brother, Harry Arnould and his family.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Bergland Hall, with Pastor Wallace Detweiler officiating.
Interment was at the Minahico Cemetery.
The pallbearers were his son, Randy, and brothers, Ed, Ernie, and Harry.
