It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Ross Meades, 76, on Sept. 19, 2006.
Frank was born in Toronto, Ont., the youngest of 14 children. He grew up on a farm in the Don Valley and worked for Toronto Hydro for 25 years.
Frank and family moved to Fort Frances, Ont. in 1972. Frank and his brother, Harold, bought Northern Lite Camps and then Camp Manitou and later Rusty Myers Flying Service.
He also was a member of the board of the North Western Ontario Tourism Association for many years.
Frank retired in 1989 to enjoy fishing, golf, family, and life at the lake, as well as winter holidays in Florida.
He will be missed by his wife, Sylvia; eldest daughter, Kim and her family, Rob, Adrea, Sacha, Kassin, and Genevieve; son, David and his family, Karen, Kristen, and Ty; and daughter, Laura and her family, Dale, Aaron, Savannah, and Max.
A memorial service was held Friday, Sept. 22, 2006 at 10 a.m. from the Church of the Holy Spirit, 824 Victoria Ave., Fort Frances, Ont.
