In loving memory of Flora Marie Frenette, 83, of Fort Frances, Ont., who passed away Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002 at her home.
Flora was born Oct. 12, 1918 in Fort Frances to the late Solomon and Elizabeth Frenette. In April, 1922, she moved to New Brunswick with her family, returning almost two years later in January, 1924. She resided in Fort Frances the rest of her life.
Flora started playing the organ at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church at the age of 12, retiring in 1978. She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Women’s League.
She also enjoyed knitting and tatting for the local bazaars.
Flora is survived by her sister, Elize Toninato of International Falls, Mn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Solomon and Elizabeth Frenette; sisters, Alice Mary Frenette on Jan. 10, 1998, Estelle Green, and Aldea Hall; and by brothers, Emeric, Onesime, Leonard, Laurent, and Arthur Frenette.
A visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 6, 2002 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with parish prayers being offered at 7:30 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances. Fr. Rey Ronquillo will officiate, with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Frances.
Pallbearers will be Maurice Frenette, Bob Frenette, Jerry Frenette, Jim Toninato, Bill Toninato, and Donald Lucachick.
