It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother and grandmother, Evelyn JeanetteWagner, nee Giauque, age 81, of Rivers Edge Villa, International Falls, MN., who passed away on Sept. 19, 2001 at Falls Good Samaritan Center, Int’l. Falls, MN.
Evelyn was born March 18, 1920 in Crookston, MN and in her younger years was raised in the Baudette area moving to Int’l. Falls in 1932.
She attended Falls High School and was united in marriage to Clifford Wagner on March 16, 1940.
Evelyn was a housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was always known to everyone for her kindness and great meals–no one ever left her home hungry.
She belonged to Girl Scouts, St. Thomas League, Ladies Wednesday afternoon bowling league, Women of the Moose, VFW, and various card and birthday clubs.
Evelyn was preceded in death by husband, Clifford April 15, 1986;
sons, Clifford Samuel in 1947 and Richard in 1966; daughter, Robin in 1997; parents Erwin and Anna Giauque; parents-in-law, Lloyd and Alma Wagner; brothers, Leonard, Victor, Don and Edgar Giauque; sisters, Veronica Giauque, Lucille Vanhouse, Dorothy Shepard; brothers-in-law, Ray Vanhouse, Cyril Walker, William Shepard, Gordon Sinclair; sisters-in-law, Lois, Laura, Catherine, and Bernice Giauque and Audrey Sinclair.
Surviving are sons, Darrell (Janet), Dennis (Wendy), Curt (Jane) all of Int’l. Falls, MN; daughters, Beverly (Derald) McCool, Shirley (Dennis) Livingstone both of Fort Frances, Ont., Cindy (Bob) Matiski from St. Croix Beach, MN; grandchildren, Connie (Brad) Badiuk, Don (Dede) McCool, Shelly (Greg) Gustafson, all of Fort Frances, Ont., Jennifer (David), James of New Market, Ont., Dana Wagner and Nat Hemstad of Mpls. MN, Amy and Ann Matiski of St. Croix Beach, Danny Livingstone from Little Canada, MN, Mindy (Lon) Broussard, of Tacoma, Wash., Kristy and Andy Wagner, Lindsey and Kalan Wagner, and Shawna Wagner all of International Falls; great-grandchildren, Boyd and Cam Badiuk, Brian and Dannielle Gustafson, Cody and Zach McCool, Kaitlyn and Melissa James, Dusty, Evan, Megan, Kaila, Eric and Christan Broussard; sisters-in-law, Elnor Walker and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Friday, September 21, 2001 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Green-Larsen Mortuary, Inc. with rosary to begin at 6:30 p.m.Services are Saturday, September 22, 2001 at 2 p.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Louis Sondegroth, OMI officiating. Interment will be in the St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.
Donations may be made in memory of Evelyn to St. Thomas Catholic Church Building Fund or Falls Good Samaritan Care Centre. Arrangements are with Green-Larsen Mortuary, Inc.
