Sadly the family announces the passing of Evelyn Jane Allan, 69, of Emo, Ontario, on Monday, June 7, 2021 at the La Verendrye Hospital.
Jane was born on August 8, 1951, in Emo, Ontario, to parents Harold and Leonis Woolsey. She was raised with her siblings on the Woolsey Homestead north of Barwick.
She was united in marriage to Gerry Allan on September 11, 1970. Last summer, they celebrated 50 years of marriage! They resided in La Vallee for many years until moving to Emo. Jane worked at numerous businesses over the years including Westend Motors, Dyson and Riley Satellites and the Emo Pharmacy where she remained until retirement. She was a dedicated member of the Emo Legion Branch 99, volunteering over 30 years. Jane spent many hours cooking delicious meals for the numerous events the Legion held. She proudly wore her colours walking in parades and attending Remembrance Day services across the district. Travelling with Gerry, friends and family on trips into the states to gamble was a favourite pastime of hers.
Jane is survived by her husband Gerry; her children Lori (Clyde Geary), Shaun (Sherri) Allan; her grandchildren Cody Farmer, Cole and Caleb Allan; her siblings Lois (John) Patterson, Ross (Audrey) Woolsey, Jerry (Linda Gray) Woolsey, Don (Marlene) Woolsey, Allen (Diane) Woolsey, Dean (Kathy) Woolsey; sister-in-law Elsie Woolsey; in-laws Lois (Al) Mann, Roger Allan, Brian (Nancy) Allan, Kay Nickel, Lucille (Mel) McDonald, Cheryl (Dan) Bragg, Brenda Boettcher (Bill Galusha); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jane was predeceased by her parents Harold and Leonis; stepfather Les Gillies; siblings Betty (Gordon) Halvorson, Bob (Sis) Woolsey, Keith Woolsey; and brother-in-law Bill Nickel.
Due to COVID attendance restrictions, a private family service will take place on Saturday June 12, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Northridge Funeral Home, Emo, Ont.
