EVELYN ALMA (BERG) ARMSTRONG
Evelyn Armstrong, of Stratton, Ont., passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Rainy River Health Centre in Rainy River, Ont. after a lengthy illness.
She was born July 4, 1920 in Sifton Township, Ont. to Roy and Amanda Berg.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Dennis, of 63 years; children, Jack (Lynn), Mike, Karen Higgins (Greg), Dan (Paulette), Alvin (Cheryl), Wayne (Eileen), and Jane Safronyck (Sid); 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She also is survived by her sister, Vivian (Garnet); brother-in-law, George; and sisters-in-law, Eileen and Evelyn.
She was predeceased by an infant child at birth; her parents; sisters, Gladys, Alice, and Lucille; brothers, Cliff and Elton; sisters-in-law, Ethel, Myrtle, and Teresa; and brothers-in-law, Tom, Art, Menard, Don, and Elmer.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2008 from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Way Church in Pinewood, Ont. Prayers will be offered at 7 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Way Church in Pinewood, with Fr. Dan Debano officiating.
