Ernest Allan Brown Sr. was born July 13, 1967 at Emo Hospital, Ontario.
He passed away May 13, 2026, at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He walks into the spirit world after 58 years here on Mother Earth. Ernest enjoyed going to pow wows and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also liked working for the City of Winnipeg and enjoyed playing his bingo.
Survived by many who loved and cherished him, including the mother of his children Rebekah, and his children Shannon, Amy, and Amanda.
His memory is also cherished by his brothers Gerry (Tanya), Shawn (Jenny), and Alton; numerous uncles, aunties, cousins and nephews and nieces; his grandchildren Kody, Hannah, Kyote, Mickey, Samantha, Rebekah and Treyden, Annabelle, Keno and Greyson.
Ernest was predeceased by his parents Eugene and Lucy Brown and his grandparents Albert Sr. and Bella Hunter, Ben Sr, and Elizabeth Brown; his brother Jeff Brown of Manitou Rapids, Ontario; his son Ernest Jr. and daughter Samantha Brown of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
A wake service will be held at the Manitou Rapids Gym at 4 p.m. on May 20, 2026.
Funeral service and burial will take place on May 21, 2026, at 10 a.m.
The burial will be at Manitou Cemetery.
Pallbearers for his service will be Wes and Nathan Debungee, Clifford Roulette, Tyler Hunter, Javan Smith, and Brandon Brown.
