The family of Emma Spicer sadly announces her passing on Monday, Sept. 19, 2005 at the West Haldimand General Hospital in Hagersville, Ont. in her 93rd year.
Emma was born to William and Emily Alexander on Feb. 26, 1912. She married Edwin Spicer on June 21, 1933 and they farmed in Kingsford Township for many years.
Emma and Edwin moved to Fort Frances, Ont., due to Edwin’s poor health, in the 1960s.
She was predeceased by her husband; one infant son; three brothers and three sisters; one sister-in-law; and one son-in-law.
Emma moved to Caledonia, Ont. with her two daughters, Doris and Elaine, in 1998, where she had resided until her death.
Emma will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Doris Ossachuk and Elaine Spicer of Caledonia, Ont., and Betty (Jerry) Zajac of Atikokan, Ont.; son, Calvin (Judy) of Fort Frances, Ont.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She also will be missed by one sister, Clara Reardon of Uxbridge, Ont.; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Alexander of Fort Frances, Ont. and Edna Alexander of Pickering, Ont.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 23, 2005 at the Miller Funeral Home in Caledonia, with Rev. Brian Robertson officiating.
