EMILY ADELAIDE LANG

Emily Adelaide Lang, 88, of Rainycrest Home for the Aged, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Sunday, June 18, 2006 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances.
Emily was born Aug. 10, 1917 in Dilworth, Mn. to the late Fred and Minnie Rissman. She immigrated to Canada at a young age with her family.
She was the owner/operator with her husband, Elmer, of Capitol Laundry in Fort Frances for many years. She also was a school bus driver for more than 25 years.
She was very active in the Calvary Tabernacle Church and the Covenant Church, and had many other interests in the community.
She is survived by her children, Mrs. Elizabeth Conat and her children, Art (Jo), Terry, Jack, Ron (Lisa), Les (Tony), Shirley, and Cathy (Don), Mrs. Arlene (Clarence) Pollard and their daughter, Charlotte, Mr. Art (Leta) Lang and their children, Allan (Tammy) and Sheryl (Dave), Mrs. Eleanor VanDiest and her children, Ray and Rob, and Mrs. Aleata (Allan) Jerry and their children, Shannon, Kevin (Barb), Shane (Amanda), Curt, and Dale (Tara).
Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Megan (Brandon) Jennifer, Josh (Angela), Carissa (Eric), Zach (Rae-anne), Delorne (Betsy), Bruce, Amy, Kendal, Rylan, Tony, Erika, Emelee, Elyssa, Ashley, Tyler, Trevor, Troy, Steve, Taylor, Kirstie, Greyson, Zebby, Ashlie (Craig), Missy (Jay), Josh (Rochelle), Ashlyn (Rob), Katlyn, Shaylynn, Taneesha, Katana, Kiera, and Daatona; great-great-grandchildren, Shaylynn, Jorden, Chelsea, Dylen, Leaha, Conner, Isabella, Lola, Evie, Leah, and Evan; sisters, Vivian (Dick) Green and Mrs. Lou Larish; special friend, Ruth Sandys; and numerous nieces and nephews that were close to her heart.
She was united in marriage to Elmer Lang, who predeceased her on Aug. 1, 1975.
She also was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Minnie Rissman; brothers, Burt and Mac; sisters, Lillian, Marion, and Murtle; son-in-law, Swede Long; granddaughter, Amanda Jerry; and very special friend, Jean Hayes.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 23, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Rev. Ron Hagerty will officiate, with interment in Emo Cemetery in Emo, Ont.
Friends may visit prior to the funeral service on Friday at Green Funeral Home.
The honourary pallbearers will be Emily’s grandchildren.
