ELLA MAE McGEE

Ella Mae McGee, of 901 Shevlin Ave., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away with family by her side on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002 at Riverside Health Care Facilities.
Ella Mae had a difficult struggle with cancer but with the love and support of her family and friends, and the exceptional care she received from the nurses in the Continuing Care Unit, she was able to be comforted during this difficult time.
Ella Mae was born Dec. 4, 1930 in Pinewood, Ont. In 1948, she moved to Fort Frances. Ella Mae worked as a sales clerk at well-known businesses, including Stedmans, Tiny Tot, and Betty’s. She was well-known by her customers.
Ella Mae enjoyed the time she spent with family. She always was known as that special aunt who spoiled her many nieces and nephews.
She also will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity. Ella Mae’s caring and loving ways allowed each and every one to feel special.
Ella Mae was predeceased by her parents, Henry Terrance McGee and Mary Jane McGee; brothers Clifford, Henry, and Donald McGee; and sister-in-law, Chris McGee.
Ella Mae is survived and greatly missed by her sister-in-law, Eileen McGee; and her many nieces and nephews, Ron McGee (Rachel, Michael, and Marianne), Colleen Campbell (Ken and Tiffany), Phyllis Kellar (Lynn, Christopher, Miranda, Tamara, and Erik Sinclair), Eloise Lipskie (Bob), Lois McGee (Vincent, Danielle, Brandon, Dustin, and Vanessa), Rosanne Zimmerman (Bernie, Joshua, Nathan, Rebecca, and Elijah), Tammy McGee and Doug McGee, Wayne McGee, Roberta Zuk, and John McGee.
Prayers will be offered Monday, Oct. 7, 2002 at 7 p.m., followed by visitation until 8:30 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at the Pinewood Cemetery, with Fr. Rey Ronquillo officiating.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Kellar, Bernie Zimmerman, Don Doupe, Alvin Armstrong, Ken McTavish, and Ron Bernardi.
