March 20, 1902 to August 20, 2000
The family sadly announces the passing of our special mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law at Golden West Centennial Lodge Aug. 20, 2000 at the age of 98.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Elaine Anderson (Ron) and Delsie Cumming, both of Fort Frances, Ont., son Ron Kleven (Ruth) of Winnipeg, Man., eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Ronard in 1969, son Arnold in 1982, daughter Elvera in 1997, daughter-in-law Helen Kleven in 1992, son-in-law Robert Cumming in 1995 and all her siblings.
Mom was born March 20, 1902 in Bertha, Mn., U.S.A., the fifteenth of sixteen children. Following her marriage to Ronard they resided in Sprague, Man., Hudson, Ont., and Neepawa, Man. She moved to Winnipeg in 1973 where she resided at Westwood House until moving briefly to Heritage Lodge in 1997 and later to Golden West Centennial Lodge in Jan. of 1998.
Mom was a devoted mother who loved her family with her warm caring nature. She was an inspiration to all by sharing “her gifts” of kindness, encouragement, support and unconditional love. She enjoyed the lost art of tatting and crocheting in her spare time. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Golden West for the loving care they provided.
A private family service will be held at the L.D.S. Chapel in Fort Frances, Ont. on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at 2 p.m. Green Funeral Chapel of Fort Frances in charge of arrangements.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends may make a contribution to a charity of their choice.
Though your smile is gone forever
and your hand we cannot touch,
we will never lose the memory
of one we loved so much.
Thanks for the loving years you gave us
the happy times we shared,
we all pray that when you left us
you knew how much we cared.
