Marguerite Bruchkowski, 87, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, June 20, 2004 at Pinecrest Home for the Aged in Kenora, Ont.
Marguerite was born July 28, 1916 in Superb, Sask. to Colin and Alice Carruthers. She was united in marriage to Steve Bruchkowski on April 23, 1938 and together they moved to Emo, Ont. in the spring of 1950 and then to Fort Frances, Ont. in 1965.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, cooking, and gardening. She also was a member of the Knox United Church in Fort Frances.
Marguerite was a quiet lady who loved her family deeply.
She was predeceased by her husband, Steve on Dec. 25, 1982; sons, David and Edwin; daughter, Rita Dierickse; sisters, Costance Bolen and Hilda Munchaw; and brothers, James and Albert.
Marguerite is survived by two daughters-in-law, Florence Bruchkowski of Emo, Ont. and Lorna Bruchkowski of Barwick, Ont.; son-in-law, George Dierickse of Winnipeg, Man.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna Johnson, Edith French, and Joyce (Larry) Haney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 2, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances, with Rev. Marietta Marshall officiating.
The honourary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
