Elizabeth Louise “Lucy” Waskul, 88, of International Falls, Mn., passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017 at her home.
Lucy was born Feb. 14, 1929 to Albert and Helen (Smith) Edenburn in Deerlock, Ont. She grew up in Fort Frances, Ont. in the west end.
The former Elizabeth Edenburn married John Waskul on Feb. 14, 1955 in Fort Frances and eventually moved to International Falls.
Lucy loved crafting, cooking, and fishing. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ in International Falls and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, John Waskul; son, Ronald Waskul; sisters, Maggie Clarke and Almina Urban; and brother, William Edenburn.
Lucy is survived by her sons, Douglas (Helen) of International Falls, Mn. and Randy (Patty) Waskul of Dalton, Ga.; daughter-in law, Loyla Waskul of Somerset, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2107 at 1 p.m. at Faith United Church of Christ in International Falls, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Faith United Church Columbarium.
