On Mother’s Day, May 14, 2017,
Elizabeth (Betty) Mellon
aged 69, died peacefully in London with her son John Mellon by her side.
It was a beautiful ending to a life that was filled with the richness of the love that she extended to all around her.
Betty was generous with her smiles giving thumbs up to everyone that she met even as she coped with her failing health. Besides her son John, she leaves behind, her sister Maureen Fiori (Jerry), her niece Laura Fiori, nephews Andrew and Daniel Fiori, as well as numerous friends and acquaintances who count themselves lucky to have had the privilege to have known her. Many thanks to the kind staff at Elmwood Place who did their utmost to make Betty feel comfortable. A huge expression of gratitude goes to her devoted friends Paula Marcotte, Wilda Mardlin, Mary Cahalan and Jane Moffatt who made Betty’s final journey so much easier for both her as well as for her family who lived a fair distance away.
There will be no visitation. However, a celebration of life service will be held in London, at a future date to be determined. Memorial contributions to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Please see www.HarrisFuneralHome.ca for further information.
