ELIZA GASPARINI

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Eliza Gasparini (Del Rizzo) at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. on Sunday, Oct. 19, 1997 at the age of 91 years.
Eliza was born Jan. 21, 1906 in Chions, Italy to the late Domenico and Antonia Del Rizzo. She emigrated to Canada in 1927 and married Vincent Lino Gasparini on Oct. 30, 1929.
She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Lino, in 1969; her daughter, Marina Howard, in 1976; her sister, Maria Coran, in 1975; and by her nephew, Dove Coran, in 1994.
Eliza will be lovingly remembered in the hearts of her beloved family: sons, Vincent Lino Gasparini and wife, Faye, of Fort Frances, Ont., and John Gasparini and wife, Kathleen, of Grand Forks, N.D.; daughters, Louise and husband, Paul Sabourin, of London, Ont., Linda Gasparini of Toronto, Ont., and Stephanie Gasparini of Thunder Bay, Ont.; and by her grandchildren, Steven Gasparini and wife, Tina, of Anchorage, Alaska, Chris Gasparini and wife, Cindy, of Kenora, Ont., Lisa and husband, Gary Teeple, of Blackhawk, Ont., Tom Sabourin and wife, Jane, of Oakville, Ont., Paula and husband, Robert Edwards, of Oakville, Ont., John Sabourin and wife, Pam, of London, Ont., Tony, Andrew and Joe Gasparini, all of Grand Forks, N.D., and Rob Howard of Toronto, Ont.
Eliza also will be missed by her 12 great-grandchildren, as well as her loving nieces and nephews, Toni and husband, Ray Edgett, Guido Coran, Ray Coran and wife, Lyla, Rudolf Coran and wife, Barb, and Dorothy Coran, all of Fort Frances, Ont., Olympia and husband, Joe Benassi, of International Falls, Mn., and Laura Cerutti of Thunder Bay, Ont.
A funeral mass was celebrated Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1997 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances. Father Brian Primeau O.M.I. officiated, with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Frances.
Friends visited Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home. Parish prayers were offered by Father Gilbert Levesque O.M.I. at 7:30 p.m.
Pallbearers were her grandchildren, Steven Gasparini, Chris Gasparini, Tom Sabourin, John Sabourin, Tony Gasparini, Andrew Gasparini, Joe Gasparini, Lisa Teeple, and Paula Edwards.
Honourary pallbearers were Rudolph Coran, Ray Coran, Guido Coran, Toni Edgett, Olympia Benassi, and Laura Cerutti.
