ELEANOR BRUYERE

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Eleanor Bruyere, 72, of Couchiching First Nation, on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
Eleanor was born May 20, 1939 in Fort Frances to the late Phillip and Rose Marie Bruyere.
She had lived all her life in Rainy River District, and had worked as a camp cook at numerous tourist camps in the district.
She enjoyed going to Bingo, playing cards, watching the local baseball games, walking, and the outdoors in general. She also was a member of the C.W.L.
She also loved to cook, which she continued to do even during her illness.
Another one of her pastimes was attending the seniors’ group at the United Friendship Centre. Most of all, however, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Left to cherish Eleanor’s memory are her two children, Corrinne (Allan) Adams and Michael Bruyere.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Gary, Dale, and Brittany Adams; great-grandchild Kianna Adams; two sisters, Melvina Morrisseau and Phyllis Johnson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Phillip and Rose Marie Bruyere; three sisters, Karen, Joyc,e and Amelia; and brother, Wayne.
A celebration of Eleanor’s life will be held Friday, Nov. 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at Couchiching First Nation.
Fr. Francis Pudicherry will officiate, followed by interment in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery at Couchiching First Nation.
The pallbearers will be Lorne Morrisseau, Marty Morrisseau, Steve Morrisseau, Dennis Morrisseau, Kerry Morrisseau, and Harlan Morrisseau.
The honourary pallbearers will be Gary Adams, Dale Adams, Brittany Adams, George Vivian, Shelly Vivian, and Sandy Windego.
