Elaine V. Harnett

It is with deep sadness that the family of Elaine Harnett announces her unexpected and sudden passing on Monday, Oct. 16, 2006.
Elaine’s greatest passion was her family. She is survived by her three children; daughter, Lorraine (John) Belleville of Orleans, Ont., and sons, Sam (Cynthia) and George (Janice), all of Fort Frances, Ont.
Also left to mourn her passing are her six grandchildren, whom she loved
and was so very proud of, Julie (Simon) Washer and Jennifer (Darren) Lemire of Ottawa, Ont., Jamie (Shauna) Belleville of Port Hardy, B.C., Jana (Doug) Hackman of Calgary, Alta., and Taylor and Blaire Harnett, both of Fort Frances, Ont.
She was also very proud to say she had seven great grandchildren, as well, David, Benjamin, Zoe, Noah, Brook, Tara, and Maréa.
Elaine also leaves one brother, Ron Curtis (Heidi) of Ignace, Ont.; and her good friend, Jerry.
Elaine was predeceased by her husband, W.J. (John) Harnett; and her parents Ruth and Walter Curtis, and Myrtle Dahl.
Elaine was a loving mother, doting grandmother, the best mother-in-law and friend anyone could ever wish for. Those close to her knew her to be someone who was trustworthy and a woman of great inner strength with a wonderful sense of humour and outlook on life.
Her favourite pastimes were her passion for music, the love of dance, and a good game of crib with anyone who would play. She was an avid reader and talented knitter who would lovingly make afghans, baby clothes, and mittens for her family.
She is loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 20, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Rev. Jill Warner officiating. A private family interment followed.
The pallbearers were Sam Harnett, George Harnett, Ron Curtis, Jamie Belleville, John Belleville, and Jerry Ficke.
The honourary pallbearers were all of her grandchildren.
