Mrs. Elaine Peterson passed away Friday, Jan. 3, 2003 at La Verendrye Hospital with her family by her side.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ethel and Arthur Sharples of Kenora; brother, Robert; and husband, Clifford.
She is survived by her son, Wayne (Danna) of Florida; daughter, Ferne of Barrie, Ont.; brothers, Charles of Winnipeg, Man. and Palmer of Kenora, Ont.; sister, Margaret of Kenora Ont.; along with many nieces and nephews.
She also leaves behind her loving neighbours, Ollie and Ray Stewart and their girls.
Elaine and her son ran the Moonlight Bay Camps for many years, making many longtime friends above and below the U.S. border. The lake was Elaine’s beloved place.
Cremation will take place, followed by a private memorial service at Kenora in the summer. The family plot is at Barwick, Ont.
