EINAR NORDING

Einar Nording, 92, of Rainycrest Home for the Aged in Fort Frances, passed away Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004 at La Verendrye Hospital here.
He was born Nov. 2, 1911 in Gemenoker, VasterBotten, Sweden to Frederick and Sofia Nording. He came to Canada as a young man, joining his brother in Saskatchewan and then travelling across the country.
He was united in marriage to Cecile Vivian Alexandria Lauzon on June 1, 1940 in Red Lake, Ont., and together they went in to the restaurant business in Ear Falls for 20 years until 1974, when they retired.
After their retirement, they travelled throughout the United States and spent several years in New Mexico, before moving to Fort Frances.
Einar enjoyed dancing with Cecile when they were able, and had spent many hours at the seniors’ centre playing pool and socializing.
Einar was predeceased by his parents; wife, Cecile on June 8, 1997; two brothers, Ernest and John Nording; and sisters, Helga Wittinghoff and Elsa Lovgren.
He is survived by his niece, Elas Jonason of Park Walley, Sask.; nephews, Hector Nording of Regina, Sask., Victor Nording of Shellbroke, Sask., Westley Nording of Smithers, B.C., and Leonard Lovgren of Umeo, Sweden; as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Mr. John Chornabay will officiate, with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Frances.
A visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 4, 2004 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances.
