EDYTH MARGARET HUGHES

Mrs. Edyth Margaret (Marge) Hughes, 75, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2003 at Grandview Lodge in Thunder Bay, Ont. with her family by her side.
Marge was born March 11, 1928 in Brantford, Ont. to Robert and Catherine Mt. Pleasant. She was a former long-time resident of Atikokan, Ont.
She was united in marriage to Allan Hughes, formerly of Devlin, Ont., on Dec. 31, 1978. She genuinely enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, as well as playing Bingo, fishing, cooking, and travelling.
Marge is survived by her husband, Allan; children, Richard Mt. Pleasant (Bernice), Michael Harrietha (Laurel), Sharon (Edward), Gary, Valerie (Peter), and Vince (Susan); grandchildren, Kirk, Tylor, Amy, Vickie, Richard, Brian, Thomas, Jason, Jeffery, Kimberly, and Diane; great-grandchildren, Steven and Danielle; sisters, Anne Freeman (Glen) and Ruth Ramiz (Vic); brother, Frank Mt. Pleasant (Ruth); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She also is survived by brothers-in-law, Norbert Bragg (Jean) and Irwin Hughes (Elaine), and sister-in-law, Joan Hughes (Gerald), and their families, all of the Devlin area.
Marge was predeceased by her first husband, Michael Harrietha in 1959; an infant son, Brian; granddaughter, Laura; grandson, Michael; parents; brothers, Thomas, Ronald, and Harold; brother-in-law, Lewis Hughes; and sister-in-law, Irene Bragg.
At her request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held later in June at Grandview Lodge in Thunder Bay.
