Edward Joseph Shearer, 81, of Rainycrest Long Term Care, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away at his residence on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010.
He was born March 18, 1928 in Watrous, Sask. to the late Joseph and Barbara Shearer.
Edward is survived by his wife, Rozan Shearer, of Fort Frances, Ont.; two sisters, Alice and husband, Frank Woiden, of Watrous, Sask., and Josephine Clark of Surrey, B.C.; one brother, Lloyd Wheatley of Emo, Ont.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation will take place at the Rainy River Cremation Services in International Falls, Mn.
A memorial service to celebrate Edward’s life will be held Friday, Jan. 15, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances, with Fr. Jose Marattil officiating.
Interment will take place at a later date.
