EDWARD (EDDIE) GROUETTE

Edward (Eddie) Grouette, 61, passed away in St. Joseph’s Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003. He was born June 27, 1941 in Steinbach, Man.
Eddie is survived by his son, Glen Edward Chepil of Fort Frances, Ont.; daughter, Sandra Marjorie Chepil, and grandchildren, Alicia May Young and Matthew James Young, of Thunder Bay, Ont.; sisters, Doris (Dennis) Brown of Atikokan, Ont., Betty McTavish of Fort Frances, Ont., Leona Morrish of Cranbrook, B.C., Beatrice Friend of International Fall, Mn., Angela (Duane) Morneau, and Patsy (Doug) McEvoy; brothers, Roger (Pam) Grouette, and Leo (Karen) Grouette of Winnipeg, Man.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Eddie was a free and kind spirit who loved the woods, where he spent most of his time. He loved animals and often spent hours training and caring for them.
He had a special talent for carving wood animals and musical instruments. He was loved dearly and will be missed by all.
Cremation has taken place and according to Eddie’s wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
