Peacefully, on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006 at the Emo Health Centre in Emo, Ont., Edna E. Caul (nee Johnson) passed away at the age of 71.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Floyd, of 50 years; and sons, Allan (Ellen), Larry (Lori), and Wayne (Susan).
She also was the devoted grandmother of Daniel, Jodi, Terianne, Crystal, Brittany, Kelly, Terra, Teresa, Sarah, Kyle, and Douglas; and great-grandmother to Kirsten and Paige.
Edna also is survived by her sisters, Irene Hughes, Helen (Jack) Watson, Ellen (Melvin) Armstrong, and Ruth (Joseph) Gray; brother–in-law, Judson Hartlin; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Barry; parents, John and Elizabeth Johnson; brothers, William (Beatrice) Johnson, and Eric and Benjamin Johnson; sisters, Aino (John) Pelepetz, Lillian (Ingvald) Larson, Hilda Hartlin, and Lila (Vaino) Hannien.
Edna began working at Green’s Camp in Nestor Falls, Ont., as well at John and Joan Martin’s General Store and later a partner in Black Bear Camp, applying her talents as a chef and bookkeeper to name a few titles.
Edna met Floyd Caul, and on Aug. 18, 1956 they were married. Together they raised their four sons.
Her talents as a seamstress, guitar player, and knitting will be remembered by many.
Friends and family were received at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, Ont. on Monday, Jan. 1, 2007 from 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services were held there Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007 at 1 p.m., with Rev. Eileen Bragg officiating.
Interment in Emo Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Dale Hartlin, Dennis Pelepetz, Ted Brown, William Johnson, Earl Hartlin, and Rene Hughes.
