EDMOND EUGENE DeGAGNÉ

Edmond DeGagné, of Winnipeg, Man., passed away suddenly on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg with family at his side.
Born Nov. 21, 1939 in Crozier, Ont., Ed is survived by his wife, Claudette (née Dupas) of 49 years; son, Marcel (Gayle); daughters, Suzanne (Jeff Mott) and Colette (Robert Neil); and granddaughter, Elizabeth.
He also leaves to mourn four brothers; two sisters; many in-laws; and numerous other relatives and friends, whose lives he touched deeply with his humour and affection.
Ed grew up on the farm and worked in the bush with his own father and brothers, and was a professional truck driver for more than 40 years.
He had great faith and prayed daily. He spent his life taking care of his family (immediate and extended) and enjoyed spending time with them.
He leaves a hole in many hearts and will be sorely missed.
A funeral mass was held Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. at St. Eugene Roman Catholic Church in Winnipeg.
A viewing preceded at 1:30 p.m.
Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens in Winnipeg.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations appreciated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
