Edith was born Feb. 18, 1928 in Lorette, Man. She was united in marriage to Maurice on Nov. 27, 1947. They lived on the family farm until 1985, then built a home on the river and lived there until Edith’s poor health forced them to move to Rainy River in 1993.
Mom always loved the farm and the work associated with it. She enjoyed her flowers and, in later years, had a fascination with bird-watching. She loved spending time with her family, and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Friday, Aug. 6, 1999 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church in Rainy River. Father James Panikulam officiated, with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Rainy River.
