EDITH ALICE TARLING

Edith Alice Tarling (nee Peters) passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009 in her 72nd year after a short but valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Peter, of Mactier, Ont.; dear son, Derek (Terry) of Sylvan Lake, Alta.; cherished daughter, Denise (Jeff Mckay) of Meaford, Ont.; and her much-loved grandchildren, Nathan, Trent, Spencer, Summer, and Aleah.
She also is survived by her four brothers, Gordon (Cathy) of Emo, Ont., Willard (Enid) of Rainy River, Ont., Phillip (Rosella) of Red Deer, Alta., and Alvin (Leslie) of Winnipeg, Man. and their families.
Edith was born in Rainy River, Ont. and lived life to the fullest, with many friends both close to home and around the world. She lived by the motto, “Only one life will soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.”
Peter and Edith have spent the past 47 years in full-time church ministry, most recently at the New Life Assembly in Mactier, Ont., where her funeral will be held Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009 at 2 p.m.
