Loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Duane Sheridan Thorsteinson, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2004 at the age of 60.
He is survived by his loving wife, Paulette; one son and two daughters, Darin (Leah), Shelly (Dave), and Tammy (Clayton); and five grandchildren, Krystal, Melissa, Amber, Jack, and Liam.
He was predeceased by his parents, Fredrick and Mary of Vancouver, B.C.; and grandson, Daney Duane of Powell River, B.C.
Duane enjoyed a wonderful life in the outdoors, spending time with his family, friends, and faithful hunting dogs. “Thorny” worked for many years in the pulp and paper industry, the last 17 spent at Abitibi-Consolidated (Fort Frances Division).
Duane will be remembered by his smile, his humour, and his unconditional love for his family.
The children of Duane and Paulette would like to thank the friends, nurses, and doctors (Dr.
Haak) of Fort Frances and Devlin for so lovingly taking them into their fold for so many happy years.
A celebration of Duane’s life will be held Thursday, March 25, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Devlin Hall in Devlin, Ont.
